Salvia
Salvia or sage as it is known in English, goes way back in time: traces of it have been found in settlements from the Stone Age. Salvia comes from the Latin ‘Salvere’, or ‘healthy’ or ‘saving’. The Romans called it a ‘holy herb’ because of its cleansing effects.
